Tree Cutting Long Island
Safe, precise tree cutting by ISA-certified arborists. Whether it's a single tree or a full property clearing, we cut it down right the first time.
Precision cuts, controlled drops
Felling a tree is not just making a cut at the base and hoping it falls right. On Long Island properties — where trees grow over pools, decks, rooflines, and neighbors' yards — it requires planning, rigging, and an arborist who knows exactly what they're doing.
Every tree cutting job starts with an ISA-certified assessment. We plan the cut sequence, set up rigging points, and bring the tree down in sections — not in one crash. That's how we protect your property and every property around it.
Straight felling
Open lots where there's room to fell the tree in one direction. We assess the lean, wind, and drop zone before the first cut.
Sectional cutting
When there's no safe drop zone, we climb and cut the tree in sections, lowering each piece by rope. Standard practice near structures.
Crane-assisted cutting
For very large trees or extremely tight access, we coordinate crane support to lift sections away from structures entirely.
Leaning trees
Trees already leaning require different cut sequences to control direction. Our arborists are trained in tension-wood and compression-wood techniques.
Dead tree cutting
Dead trees are more unpredictable than live ones — the wood is often brittle and fails unexpectedly. Extra rigging, extra care.
Property clearing
Multiple trees, overgrown areas, or full lot clearance for construction. We clear efficiently and handle all debris.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between tree cutting and tree removal?+
Tree cutting typically refers to felling a tree — bringing it down by making cuts at the base. Tree removal is the complete process: cutting the tree down, chipping or hauling branches, and leaving the site clean. We do both, and for most jobs the right call is full removal so you're not left with a log pile and debris.
Can you cut down a tree near my house safely?+
Yes. Trees within inches of structures are our specialty. We use rigging techniques to lower sections by rope rather than letting them fall, protecting your roof, siding, fences, and landscaping. Our ISA-certified arborist assesses every close-quarter job before the first cut.
What size trees can you cut down?+
We cut trees of any size — from small ornamentals to 100-foot-plus oak, maple, and pine trees. Larger trees require more rigging and aerial equipment, which affects pricing, but there's no tree too large for our crew.
Do you cut trees that are leaning or already partially fallen?+
Yes. Leaning and partially downed trees are more complex than a straight fell because the tension is unpredictable. Our certified arborists are trained in tension cuts and rigging for compromised trees — this is where experience matters most.
